Cause 4 Paws is a group of concerned citizens
rescuing these cats and kittens from the life of misery, loneliness,
hunger, and cold that is their fate outside. We are volunteers with no
source of funding. We need your support so that we may continue to rescue
these beautiful cats from the terrible conditions in which they live and
breed.
Our MissionOur organization was created with the goal of reducing the suffering of homeless cats born outside and who live short, brutal lives. To attain this goal, we provide these cats with food and shelter as well as health care. We also seek to reduce the population of homeless cats through sterilization programs and by bringing into our network of foster homes those cats than can be socialized and made adoptable. We thus prevent the birth of litters in unsafe conditions. Recently, we have started an educational program to sensitize the population at large to the plight and conditions of cats living and reproducing outside. We distinguish ourselves from other organizations by keeping healthy adoptable cats alive as long as is necessary for them to be adopted.
Our Organization's Profile
We use humane methods to capture colonies of homeless and feral cats and kittens
and ensure that all receive immediate medical attention, including testing for
FIV (Feline version of HIV) and feline leukemia virus. All are fully vaccinated, treated for
parasites, and sterilized, unlike animals from most other shelters. We do
everthing possible to ensure the health of the cats we place for adoption.The
dossier for cats placed in fosters homes or in adoptive homes is available from
our vet.
We seek donations that will go toward paying vet bills. We are also looking
for foster homes that will care for and work on socializing the cats we
rescue,
some of whom need a little patience and TLC to blossom into loving companions
they are meant to be.
