"I am the strong, silent type. I was rescued as an 8 month old behind the Pierrefonds Animal Hospital in October 2004. I am very well behaved in a home. I form touching, strong bonds with other cats, but do not bond that well with people. I do appreciate everything that people do for me, but perhaps I had a bad experience when I was little, before I was rescued (it's so hard to remember), and I am considered more of a cat's cat than a people cat. My inseparable pal Seetah, the handsome white and gray cat photographed with me, has been in a home since July 2005, and I am very lonely for another feline companion. If you have a cat who is alone quite a bit, or who needs a feline friend, I'm your man. I am a lovely cat, gentle, and very handsome I think, sleek and shiny like a black panther. I am in excellent health."

"I was found alone in an apartment, at the side of my owner who had died. I am sad, but very affectionate, and ready to love again. I will climb into your lap and put my paws on your shoulder, and hug you. I am about 1-year-old and have beautiful bright green translucent eyes."

"I am the lovely lady with the husky 'come-hither' meow. I'm a 2-year-old, part diluted tortoise shell, part tabby. I have beautiful grey/beige patterns on my back. I was found pregnant and have 2 kittens, Mystra and Little Pumpkin, are in loving homes."

"I'm still here searching for my prince charming."

The Rock 'N' Rollers.

Elvis, Johnny B. Goode and Priscilla the Drag Queen.

"We're a little on the wild side. Priscilla was originally thought to be a female. By the time we discovered she was a he, the name Priscilla had stuck, 'Priscilla the drag queen.' He is the most socialized among us. Elvis and Johnny B. Goode, in keeping with our names, are a bit more wild than Priscilla, but we are very handsome and need a good home."

Catmandu and Shell

"Hi, my name is Catmandu, and I was rescued from … well, not as far away as Kathmandu, but from the east part of Pierrefonds where I had been eking out a living outside for more than 2 years. I am told that I am very handsome, and that I am one of the sweetest cats my rescuers at Cause 4 Paws have ever met. I am pictured here next to my little girl Shell, a young female tortoise shell that I befriended when she was a kitten. She is not my biological daughter, but I love her like a father, and am very proud of the sweet little lady she has become. I took her and her littermate TC (long-since adopted), under my paws so to speak, and cuddled and groomed them. Shell and I are available for adoption separately or together. Since Cause 4 Paws blood-tests cats rescued from outside, I have been combo-tested and am FIV (feline version of HIV) and FeLV (feline leukimia virus) negative. I am very well-behaved, never get into trouble, am very affectionate, and crave the human affection I was denied so long."

Whale

"Hi, I'm Whale. I'm fat, old, and crotchety. I get cranky with the other cats, but when I am with people all I want to do is cuddle and purr. I was abandoned along with my friend Dolphin, who has since been adopted, and was rescued by Cause 4 Paws. I am a beautiful calico cat, female (calico cats always are, you know), about 6 years old, declawed front paws. I would best be suited to a household with few or no other cats, and people who have plenty of time to love me. I enjoy sitting with people and watching TV, or lying beside them as they read or write. I have plenty of love and affection to give, and am beginning to get over the heartbreak of having been unwanted and abandoned. On the top of my wish list, when I am adopted, is to have my name changed!"

Dottie

"Hi, I’m Dottie, so named because I have two black dots on my nose. I’m a black and white female, declawed front paws, five years old. My owner turned me over to Cause 4 Paws because she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She cried and cried because she loved me so much, and I cried too. I have been very good since I have been here, and have made some new friends, but I do not get the intensity of attention and affection to which I became accustomed when I lived with only one other cat and two people. I form close attachments to human beings very easily, and I am loyal and loving. Like Whale, I would best be suited to a household with few other cats, and people with much time and attention to lavish on me. I love my treats and soft food, which I was accustomed to getting at certain times every day, but have had to learn to share since I have been here. I’m aware that compared to many of the rescued cats here, I come from a background of comfort and privilege, and I appreciate that more than ever, since I have heard some of the other cats tell me their sad stories. If you would like to meet me and are able to love me the way I was loved before, I promise I will return your commitment many times over."

Amber

"I'm about 3-years-old, was rescued from the outside of Ile Bizard. I'm a bit timid and afraid, but am now accustamed to the creature comforts of a good home, and all my cat friends. I'm healthy but am small and delicate for my age."

Angelica

"Angelica truly lives up to her name. Affectionate, gentle, and tender, her "love-me" green eyes gaze into yours as she seeks and returns love and cuddles. Not too much of an angel to get into a little mischief now and then, however, Angelica has a lot of personality, and makes her presence felt as she rubs against your leg, jumps into your lap, or helps you with your computer tasks. A diluted tortoise shell with short soft downy gray fur mottled with soft beigy-apricot, Angelica is ?? years old, spayed, vaccinated, and treated for parasites. Her soft, plaintiff meow will haunt you, and her wide-eyed curiousity will remind you of the kitten that lives on in all healthy young adult cats."

Chaos

"Chaos is one of the most affectionate cats I have met in four years of rescuing cats. She always wants to be in your lap, or near you, cuddling and purring. When I first met her, she was cuddling and licking a little tortoise shell kitten as though it were her own, although the kitten was not hers. A true tortoise shell with deeply saturated apricot mottled markings in her black fur, and deep green eyes, she is a sight to behold. She is spayed, vaccinated, treated for parasites, and about 2 (??) years old. She craves human affection, which she generously returns many times over."

Paddy Paws

"Paddy Paws is about 5 years old, neutered and vaccinated. He is a lovely soft beige an white male, who had been accustomed to being the only cat, but now he gets along with the other cats in his foster home. He was turned over to Cause 4 Paws because his owners were moving to England. He is affectionate, adaptable, and loves to play and cuddle."
